According to the US Centers for Disease control, when used properly, latex condoms help reduce the risk of transmission of HIV (AIDS) and many other sexually transmitted diseases. - Open condoms carefully!
- Do not use teeth or scissors.
- Do not use after expiration date.
- Make sure the condom package is air tight.
NEVER use oil-based lubricants like hand cream, Vaseline, or Crisco. ALWAYS use a WATER-BASED lubricant like KY Jelly, ID Glide or WET.
Using condoms or lube with nonoxynol-9 may irritate the genital region and create another pathway for HIV and other STD's to enter.
