Drugs and HIV - Triad Health Project

You can become infected with HIV or Hepatitis C if you share paraphernalia to drugs. When you share these "works," blood that is infected with HIV passes directly into your bloodstream.

You can also get HIV/AIDS or Hepatitis C if you are an IV drug user and have unprotected sex without a latex condom.

Protect yourself - get into treatment. If you can't:

  • Keep your own works
  • Don't share works
  • Clean all works every time you use them.

Pull up water.
Shoot out water
Do this 3 times.

Step 2

Pull up bleach; count to 30.
Shoot out bleach.
Do this 3 times.
Don't shoot, drink or wash with bleach.
